Our "Sharkstooth" print is actually a variation on "asanoha," a traditional Japanese pattern named for hemp leaves dating from the Heian period (794-1185). Used as a symbol of strength and growth (because of hemp's toughness and fast growing speed), we find it a fitting print for contemporary times.
