DAPPER DAY + LACMA
Sat, January 26, 2019 | 7-10 pm | Reserve your free tickets
Step out in style for a free, first-of-its-kind DAPPER DAY event. Join us for extended gallery hours 7–10 pm with drinks, dancing, and more. Bring your evening glamour as we mingle among LACMA's European and Modern collections—featuring artworks by Yayoi Kusama, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Betye Saar, Andy Warhol, and many more.
Don't miss this special opportunity! Our Swinging Soirée is the final evening event in LACMA's renowned European galleries. They close on February 3 in preparation for the museum's new building for the permanent collection, with the Modern galleries to close this summer.
We encourage you to visit LACMA earlier in the day to explore the entire campus including the special exhibit "3D: Double Vision" which explores the history of creating the illusion of three dimensions.
Regular museum admission required to enter museum galleries before 7p. After 7p join our free party in the Ahmanson building and view LACMA's European and Modern collections, with pop-up bars and dancing—all indoors. Please RSVP.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to overwhelming demand, reservations for this event are no longer available in advance. A standby line will form at 6:30 pm at the Ticket Office near the Urban Light sculpture on the day of this event. Guests in the standby line will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis, though unfortunately there is no guarantee of space being made available to guests in this line.
Pre-reserved tickets for our "Swinging Soirée" can be picked up at LACMA’s Ticket Office, located near Urban Light, on the day of the event—as early as 10 am. Tickets are nontransferable and can only be picked up by the individual who reserved them. Reservations do not guarantee entry, even with a ticket in hand. Entry is first come, first served.
